EBM KDP 117 AIRTRONIC

A single sided, straight line, gravity fed glue pot edgebander for applying unglued coil material up to 3mm thick, combined with the “Airtronic” fusion edge technology system, developed by E.B.M, for the application of premium coated materials up to 3mm thick.

Airtronic System:

The Airtronic fusion edge technology system, developed by E.B.M, for the application of premium coated materials up to 3mm thick.

Airtronic has been developed exclusively for EBM KDP edgebanders with PLC control. Compressed air is heated through a fan equipped heater up to operating temperature and is irradiated through a nozzle to the inside of the premium coated edge. At the first pressure roller the fused functional layer is welded to the work piece. This fusion process creates a seamless edge which is extremely attractive and impervious to the ingress of water. Hot-air aggregate for generating the optical seamless joint using
appropriate, special edge band materials.
